A Little Interlude

I discovered this today on The Drabblecast and I feel it needs to be shared with the world.

Enjoy

Also, the episode I found it on was pretty awesome. I love James Patrick Kelly and I discovered him on Audible, so I was pleased as punch to hear two of his marvelous stories on one of my favorite podcasts. If you haven’t read his book “Think Like a Dinosaur: and Other Stories,” you need to change that about yourself.

G’night!

My Favorite Podcasts

Podcasting and audio magazines have been an inspiration for me for several years. I think the first few I discovered were the Escape Artist family and Mur Lafferty’s I Should be Writing. Heck, I remember when Podcastle actually started! Way to make me feel old.

Why am I bringing this up? My beloved Escape Artists are asking for funding – and are giving the listeners good reasons for subscribing to them. They are providing some premium content and, more importantly, they are going to keep their audio doors open. They are also talking about all the fabulous new offers they want to provide faithful listeners like me.

I’m buying the monthly paid subscription for the Escape Artists and for The Drabblecast this month and the months after. If you haven’t heard of these amazing podcasts, check them out. If you have and you enjoy them, please buy a subscription. Not just for your listening enjoyment, but for those fledgling authors who would never get a chance otherwise to get paid a fair price for their hard work.

So, do a good deed, support one of the independent businesses that epitomizes modern short story publishing.

Thanks!

As an update: Even Boing! Boing! is talking about this!
